Keto-Foundation™ is the perfect starting point for a dog or cat transitioning to a more healthful diet reflective of ketogenic nutritional principles. It can also serve as the “Foundation” and mainstay diet in a long-term ketogenic feeding regimen.


The unfortunate truth is that most commercial pet foods are majority carbohydrates/starch, and transitioning from such diets to protein-rich, nutrient-dense (ketogenic) diets can be a challenge. Keto-Foundation™ is formulated to be a first step in that important nutritional transition.

Keto-Foundation™ is a majority meat kibble diet with 40% protein, 18% fat, and a low glycemic index. Unlike our more nutrient dense Keto-Kibble™, Keto-Foundation™ is not Starch Free, but contains moderate carbohydrate content in the form of brown rice. 

(On the glycemic index scale (1-100), brown rice rates a 50 (low). Alternative carbohydrate sources in processed commercial pet foods include potatoes (95), tapioca (85), and corn (65) -- often times as the majority ingredients in the diets!)

GENERAL INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS
Use Ketogenic Pet Foods™ as a singular food for a meal, or as a supplemental food. To avoid digestive disturbances, mix with the present diet beginning at about 10% and then gradually increase proportions. If fed singularly for a meal, these general guidelines apply:
